Paragraph Writing for Kids (Fun and Easy Guide)

A paragraph is a group of sentences about the same topic.

Usually, a paragraph has 3–5 sentences:

Topic sentence – tells the main idea

Supporting sentences – give details

Closing sentence – finishes the idea

Example Paragraph

My Favorite Pet

My favorite pet is my dog. He is brown and very playful. Every morning, he runs with me in the yard. He also loves to eat treats. My dog makes me very happy.

These give more information.
