A pronoun is a word that replaces a noun (a person, place, animal, or thing).

Pronouns help us avoid repeating the same noun again and again.

✅ Example:

Maria has a dog. Maria loves the dog. ❌ (repeating Maria)

Maria has a dog. She loves the dog. ✅

👉 The word she is a pronoun because it replaces Maria.

    Here are some pronouns kids often use:

    Pronoun Used For

    I → talking about yourself

    You → talking to someone

    He → a boy or man

    She → a girl or woman

    It → an animal or thing

    We → a group including you

    They → a group of people or things
