
Hello, little learners! ๐ Today, we are going to learn about the Simple Present Tense. Donโt worryโitโs easier than it sounds!
The Simple Present Tense is used to talk about things that happen every day, things that are always true, or things we like or do regularly.
Examples:
I eat breakfast every morning. ๐ณ
She plays with her friends after school. โฝ
The sun rises in the east. ๐
Notice how the verb changes for he, she, it? We usually add -s or -es.
1. For I, You, We, They:
Verb stays the same
I like ice cream. ๐ฆ
They play in the park. ๐
2. For He, She, It:
Add -s or -es
He likes ice cream. ๐ฆ
She plays in the park. ๐
Tip: If the verb ends in -ch, -sh, -x, -s, or -o, add -es.
He watches TV. ๐บ
She goes to school. ๐ซ
Activity 1: Fill in the Blank
Complete the sentence with the correct form of the verb in brackets.
I ___ (eat) apples every day. ๐

Activity 2: Guess the Habit
Look at the pictures (draw or imagine your own!) and write a sentence in simple present tense.

Activity 3: True or False Game
Read the sentence and say True or False. Then make your own sentence!

Some verbs are special and do not need -s for he, she, it. These are called irregular verbs.
